In recent weeks, Regina has faced a series of distressing incidents, including multiple murder attempts. Tragically, the city has also witnessed a surge in overdose deaths, reaching 84 fatalities this year compared to 71 during the same period just last year. Among these deaths, one occurred in the encampment in front of city hall, shedding light on the urgent need to address homelessness and its associated challenges. As concerned citizens, it is crucial that we come together to find real, sustainable solutions that improve the lives of our residents and strengthen our community.

One of the most disheartening aspects of the homelessness crisis in Regina is the existence of over 3,200 vacant affordable homes.
