This month we have celebrated some talented entrepreneurs here in Regina, along with a sprinkle of Saskatchewan’s women’s history. We have one more person we are posting about in The Rejuvenation Box blog series... you guessed it, ME, Kathy Sabo!
Life has a way of guiding you to where you need to be. This past December, the stars aligned for QC Custom Designs to open its virtual doors at QCGifts.ca. What was the motivation behind this new venture? Let’s focus on a few things that are fundamental to this business and its owner.
Time is limited, so what better service to provide than giving people more time? For over a decade, customer service management was my profession, so in developing a business where service was the product- I knew I could create something exceptional. I also had the perspective of a busy working mom that was always being pulled in too many directions. It is important that the service is simple and easy to use– while trusting that the products and services are top quality, local, and delivered on time.
Another thing about me is that I love Regina! Born and raised here in Saskatchewan, it is easy to think of the Prairies as so so, safe but boring… but having traveled the world a few times over as an international recruiter, I know this place is good, LIKE REALLY GOOD! In creating my own company, I wanted to celebrate our province, as well as support it. We have wide-open skies with tons of opportunity. Living here means we can be a big fish in a small pond, taking advantage of opportunities while enjoying the costs and pace of a smaller city.
I love that I can come into work (aka downstairs) and know that I have balance in my life while creating thoughtful meaningful gifts for our loved ones! That’s what motivates me - making people happy! Looking ahead, I hope to keep on creating and making custom gifts for you and yours.

Saskatchewan’s winter warmth isn’t just about temperature; it’s about community, preparation, and a little bit of prairie magic. From heated hallways to home hibernation, from starting seedlings to layering up for the outdoors, we’ve found ways to make winter work for us. So next time someone asks if Saskatchewan winters are too cold, we can smile, knowing we’ve discovered a unique warmth that goes beyond the thermostat.
