Lucky Norma! A surprise gift made a Mom's day while helping our community
Last year we had the pleasure of watching local artist Val Moker create Tyulpany (Tulip in English). To give you an appreciation of the work involved here is a video of it being created- https://youtube.com/shorts/eRb6KiP6V1U
The reason she painted this image was to raise funds for a good cause here in our community.
Just before Christmas, the draw was pulled, and we have a winner! The original painting went to a lovely lady named Norma. The first thing she said to Val was,
“I never win anything!”
Her daughter bought the ticket as a surprise at Momentum Café 's Tulip Tea this past spring.
Monies from the draw were donated to UCC last week. We are thankful for all that bought a ticket. Know that your contribution will go towards helping our new residents from Ukraine. It was a wonderful Christmas present for Norma and for our community.
