We are absolutely delighted to introduce the talented Rhonda Lamb and her incredible work in the world of fibre arts here at QCGifts.ca! With a passion spanning over two decades, Rhonda's journey began with the heartwarming addition of her first llamas. Little did she know that this furry encounter would open the door to a world of creativity and endless possibilities.
As Rhonda delved into the world of spinning, knitting, dyeing, and weaving, her fascination with various types of fibres grew. But it was when she discovered felting that everything "felt" right! For the past 10 years, Rhonda has been exploring the felting medium with gusto, embracing the art of needle felting, wet felting, and nuno felting. Her dedication to the craft led her to become a valued member of felt; feutre Canada, wholeheartedly supporting the creation of a vibrant felting community in Canada.
Rhonda's artistic vision has always been to create unique and technically strong seamless fashion artwork. Her journey has been enriched by workshops with internationally recognized felters such as Fiona Duthie, Katia Mokeyeva, Sharon Costello, Jessica de Haaus, and Andrea Graham. Their inspiring teachings have fueled Rhonda's passion, helping her develop her own ideas and approaches to her art.
Inspired by the serene beauty of her home and the enchanting prairies of rural Saskatchewan, Rhonda weaves the colors, magic, and tranquility of her natural surroundings into every individual piece she creates. The dedication she pours into her craft ensures that each item is of the highest quality, built to withstand the test of time. Rhonda's wearable art is a promise of warmth, beauty, and joy for its fortunate owners.
Rhonda's work is a beautiful testament to her deep connection with the natural environment. Growing up in a rural setting, she learned to cherish the beauty of the smaller worlds around us – the birds, the trees, the skies, and the wildlife. These elements have always been a wellspring of inspiration for her. With motifs borrowed from the natural world, such as feathers, leaves, and flowers, Rhonda's work pays homage to the importance of our local ecosystems.
As a true master of her craft, Rhonda has honed her skills over the years through her exploration of natural fibres and felt making. She finds joy in creating layers in her pieces, much like the layers of clouds in the sky or leaves on the trees. Each work of art is a masterpiece, made with natural fibres and treated with individual designs, thoughtful composition, and boundless inspiration.
We at QCGifts.ca are overjoyed to have Rhonda Lamb's exceptional work to share with our esteemed customers. Her dedication to craftsmanship and her profound connection with nature align perfectly with our mission to offer the finest and most meaningful creations. Rhonda’s scarves are wearable art that promise to provide years of warmth, beauty, and pleasure to its owners. Click here to see our selection of scarves she has made.
