theCandleCorner.yqr was founded by local talent Samantha - a savvy DIYer, passionate about creating something wonderful from nothing at all, here in the Queen City.
Never fully satisfied with the candles Samm found at large retailers, with their so-so scents, uneven burning, and questionable materials, she wanted something better. High-quality candles with unique scents and even burning were not available in Regina. This savvy businesswoman welcomed this as an opportunity to create a home business that would showcase a great candle. And guess what, we tried it out and we did see the difference.
So how does Samm create candles that stand out? Located in Regina, Saskatchewan, all of her products are handmade with love. You can see that this is a true passion for her – displayed in the craftsmanship of her products. Having used these candles at home, I can say that once you experience a candle from her, you won’t want to buy another brand. The candles burn slow and evenly release the scent- Blankets.
“We strive to give our customers an experience by awakening all of their senses with luxury candles that you can see, smell, hear, and touch,” Samm shares.
Why coconut soy wax? Samm explains that the coconut, soy, and wax blend enhances the candle’s aesthetic while providing a product that is clean burning, bio-degradable and natural. The wax comes from a renewable source and is vegan and non-toxic. What types of fragrance oil do you use?
Candles are a science to make! Each individual scent is either one single fragrance oil, or a custom blend created in-house. The formulas are vigorously tested to create a great-smelling candle for you to enjoy. Fragrance oils are sourced from all over North America to create their signature line of candle scents. She also supports other small businesses in the candle community whenever possible by purchasing their fragrance oils.
Why wood wicks? From wood-burning crackling sounds to being more sustainable there are a number of reasons why wood wicks are the superior option. They burn more evenly and also give off minimal soot when burning which is safe, and clean to burn in our homes!
Don’t forget to trim the wick before every burn. Keeping wicks shorter means your candles will have a cleaner, brighter burn, as it will prevent carbon buildup on the wick which is what causes sooting. It is crucial on a wooden wick candle to always trim the wick to 1/8" before every burn, to ensure your candle continues to burn safely and longer.
In our opinion, Blankets Scent Candle from theCandleCorner.yqr is luxurious and awakes all of the senses - something that is hard to find in Regina. We are beyond excited to introduce this trendy & neutral candle. You will find the palette is perfect for gifting or adding a touch of comfort to that special someone. Available for purchase in our custom and corporate gift boxes.
