Have you tried a pretzel from Simpson Snacks? If you have, you likely had more than just one. When QCGifts opened its virtual doors, Stephanie Nimchuk from the husband-and-wife duo behind Simpson Snacks, was not only happy to work with us, she supported us immensely with positive energy and a can-do attitude.
When asked what motivates her, this wife, mother, full-time logistic manager, photographer, small business owner, AND perhaps superhero- simply replied that she and Jeremy aspired to be business owners. By sending that energy out to the world- life has aligned and made it happen.
Opportunity knocked on Stephanie and her husband Jeremy’s door just last year- and they answered. They were approached to take the reigns of a Saskatoon snack that they themselves enjoyed. They couldn't say no!
“We bought the recipe, rebranded it, and hit the road selling a snack we love!”
Now together with their kid’s help, their family business is gaining momentum to be THE go-to snack in Saskatchewan. They hope that one day this business can be hand down to their kids.
Both Jeremy and Stephanie grew up in the village of Simpson, Saskatchewan. They run their company while also working day jobs. Talk about inspirational!
Including local business products, like Simpson Snacks, in our gift boxes is so important to us. Quality products that local people are PASSIONATE about; we can support our community with our service.
Now to not take ourselves too seriously, here is one of our very first Instagram reels. We filmed this about a week after we tried our first buttery ranch pretzel.
If you know of other local snacks that you can’t stop eating, leave a comment below. We can get our snack on while supporting local 😊

Saskatchewan’s winter warmth isn’t just about temperature; it’s about community, preparation, and a little bit of prairie magic. From heated hallways to home hibernation, from starting seedlings to layering up for the outdoors, we’ve found ways to make winter work for us. So next time someone asks if Saskatchewan winters are too cold, we can smile, knowing we’ve discovered a unique warmth that goes beyond the thermostat.
